"A girl is innocence playing in mud, Beauty standing on its head, And motherhood dragging a doll by the foot." Author: Alan Beck Hellllooooo there. I have decided to start writing a blog of sorts, I wont write one everyday, every week or probably even every month. But it is something I thought I would start.
A little bit about me for starters. Things that I love...... Well, I love to make stuff, anything and everything, in fact I like to stick my finger into any pie I can find (mmmmm pie).... hence the birth and expansion of Cadenza Bella. I have never had a 'real' job I actually enjoyed.... until now, and yes I consider being a WAHM a 'real' job... although it doesn't really pay much :P lol. I love being at home and making stuff and sharing it with the world as often as I can. My main job of course is being mummy to my 2 wonderful kids who light up my world (especially when they are sleeping peacefully, in there own beds... quietly). I love my kids, of course I do, but boy are they hard work. They never stop.... well anything, constanly on the go and constantly talking (well Cadence isn't quite 2 yet and she mostly just makes sounds still..... getting a touch concerned about that now actually). I am not exaggerating. My boy talks to me about everything from the minute he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep, in fact he sleep talks, so it doesn't even stop then. We have the EXACT same conversations EVERY monday, wednesday, Thursday and Friday, these are his kindy days, and he seems to need me to tell him who will be at kindy on those days Every single week, his memory is NOT like an elephants. My girl, Cadence.... she loves to dance, she dances to theme songs on cartoons, she dances to the radio, she dances to music that noone else hears, I would love to have a free pass to the inner workings of her innocent carefree mind, it must be such a joyful place full of all things girly, unicorns and mud.... Cadence relishes in doing boy things, but dressed like a girl - and no that is not my forcing her into girly things, that is her squealing with excitement and jumping up and down with her arms flapping up and down pointing at a dress, skirt or tutu saying 'pretty'. what else do I love..... oh yes my husband of course, my husband is my rock and he works hard every single day to provide for his family. He can make me laugh when i don't want to and comfort me when i need to cry. I could go on but I dont want to make you all gag :P I love to cook, bake and EAT, I have a terrible sweet tooth. I love nature, the world around us is a beautiful place. I love all the creature comforts and convenience of modern life, but I long for the mystery and simplicity of the old world. I HATE housework, with a passion, can't stand it, therefore my home is in a constant state of disarray. Although in saying that I do like to have a clean house...... catch 22. I really don't like mean people and I will never be able to visit any of the countries with high levels of poverty and hardship as it will irreparably break my heart. That's about it for now! Feel free to introduce yourself to me :D
